No. He was good, his career could have been a lot better no doubt, but he was never gonna be among the greatest.

Funny how you're a Lara fan all of a sudden.

I'm not a Lara fan. Never have been. But he does have skills. Can't deny that.
So if Charlo wants to fight the best why not call out Lara instead of Hurd??

Still can't figure out what part of Charlo landed on Lubin - it looked like the glove went into the mid-section and either forearm or elbow hit him ? Didn't see one decent angle where it was clear - did the glove touch his chin ?

At the early age of 23 Vargas already had wins against Yori Boy Campas, Raul Marquez, Ike Quartey, Winkey Wright not to mention gave Tito a hell of a fight. Trust me, Fernando had the tools to be a great one. Unfortunately, his team fail to look out for him and kept feeding him to the wolves with Tito and then Oscar who where in a different level. Vargas became a world champion at 22 not many guys can say that.

I believe Erickson Lubin will still become a major sanctioning body champ @ some point in his career. If he stays hungry, he has the pedigree. He took a solid shot for sure, getting past the ko will now be his next barrier. I think management took a leap of faith and took a chance. Team Lubin has got to be on point from here on out.

Good matchup would be Charlo vs Hurd... I would take Charlo to stop him considering the amount of punches Hurd took vs Trout...

He lost the Winky Wright fight.
                      They boo'd that decision.
