A part of boxing is being able to sell tixs and draw huge ratings for TV networks and when your not able to do that and you have none of the above attributes I just mentioned then your always gonna be an average fighter who isn't gonna make it big in boxing or earn the big money.
Sometimes you just gotta take risks and go for broke but when a trainer tells his fighter to not change his style of fighting then he's gotta take some of the blame too.
Lara is not a bad looking man.

      agree with that.....

He didn't. A lot of people continue to bring up Molina. I thought it was a very close fight, and that a draw was a fair decision. Carlos didn't get robbed, as many claim. May as well say Lara got robbed versus Canelo. It's boxing. Close fights can easily go either way. Hell, judges don't get clear decisions right half the time.

      and that.....

      and that.....

Lara is a helluva talent, but not capitalizing on momentum is killing some of these guys with their on-off careers

I kinda feel that Rigo got forced into accepting unreasonable terms with Lomachenko..... I am not making excuses for him, because like Lara, part of that is his own doing!..... but had he been a bigger name/draw he would have got that fight at 126, or maybe 127 so the belts could still be up for grabs

the same could happen to Lara, forced to take fights under unfavorable conditions, partly because he failed to capitalize on any momentum with his career

The problem with Lara has always been that he is content to do the minimum to win his fights, most of the time.
He never tries to separate himself more.

I have to agree. It cost him versus Canelo, in my opinion. I thought Lara won on points. Evidently, so did he and his corner. But I knew it was close. As the B-side, you have to believe you're not going to get the nod in a close fight. Landy fought the late rounds without enough urgency. The guy fights too low volume to believe he's gonna get a close decision in a fight like that. Fans, and even judges, often score rounds for the more aggressive fighter.

I think Lara should've called out Danny Jacobs! I know that 160 is not favorable for Lara, but if he wants big fights like a Canelo rematch, or a fight with Golovkin, that's the risk he has to take! As much as I LOVE the 154, there is no big fight for Lara in the near future! Lara is "on the clock!" Not too long before it's time to "punch out!"

How the **** are you supposed to attract and connect with fans with all that going against you??
