there was an opportunity to step up and take a fight that would provide increased exposure, but Golovkin refused..... because of risk/reward, and timing

Mora was honest about it when the shoe was on the other foot

but Golovkin, and his ****head team/fanbase, are completely dishonest about it

oh, except for Sanchez..... who admitted that Golovkin does not care about legacy and will only take fights on "his terms"

Golovkin also made the exact same decision with Ward/Lara, for the exact same reason..... there were easier ways to get those easy KO's, without the same element of risk..... timing was clearly an issue, Golovkin may have taken 2 of those fights had the situation been different..... BUT, he did not

Team Golovkin are clearly making the exact same risk/reward decisions as everyone else

    the ONLY issue..... is honesty

    you lying gggroupies are pond-scum

That's what...18 months of inactivity. He then didn't fight again until the end of March 2016 and that fight took place at light heavyweight. Sorry. There is absolutely no evidence that he could have made 168 even if he wanted to and even if his problems with his promoter wasn't a factor. I am not saying Ward didn't really want to fight GGG. I am sure he did and I am sure he thinks he would have murdered him. I actually think he would have to be considered the favorite in that hypothetical fight. But he was no idiot. He knew GGG was becoming incredibly popular and had a burgeoning reputation as a ducked fighter. Calling him out was a marketing decision. It kept him in the spotlight.

The donuts thing is a joke not part of an agenda. My argument was never that Ward was scared of GGG. My argument has always been that his call out of GGG was pure marketing. Just an effort to keep his name in people's heads during his loooooooong stretch of inactivity by piggy backing on GGG's rising popularity. And you know what, I don't have a problem with that. Its a smart move. But it was more of a business decision than a boxing one.
this is the most absurd, sad and desperate tripe ive ever read

ward said he could make it..he contacted them about a fight....ward has never given us any reason to not believe him when he said he could make the weight

he weighed in at 171 for paul smith fight...thats halfway between 168 and 175

everything you wrote is just complete and utter BS

you just admitted that Golovkin selected a poor opponent

Mora was CLEARLY better than Adama, you excuse-making fool..... he was better exposure, with better wins

EVERYBODY knew Mora, NOBODY knew Adama..... and when Adama beats someone like Forrest then you be sure to let me know

He weighed in halfway between 168 and 175 for the Paul Smith fight and then didn't fight again for almost 9 months at a higher wait class. Could he have made it? Maybe. You're just assuming he could. But speculating that he could have is still speculating.

And? GGG wasn't at the same level then as he is now. With his current popularity a voluntary fight with an Adama level fighter would be a huge slap in the face. But he wasn't at this level of popularity when the fight was made. Stop whining about ancient history.

Mora was CLEARLY better than Adama, you excuse-making fool..... he was better exposure, with better wins
No he wasn't. Over a comparable time period Mora lost to Brian Vera 2x and beat Gregor Proska. In that same period Adama beat Roman Karamazin and lost to Daniel Geale. Adama performed better against higher level opposition more recently. He was the better option. This is especially true considering GGG was going to be fighting in Europe. Mora was just the more well known option in the United States. And since he has no power to speak of he didn't even have a punchers chance.

EVERYBODY knew Mora, NOBODY knew Adama..... and when Adama beats someone like Forrest then you be sure to let me know
No one knew Mora. You ask most boxing fans at the time and no one would knew who the **** he was. Maybe one in 10 would have to think for a bit before asking if that's the dude from the TV show with Sylvester Stallone.

                      nope

you " speculating " that Ward could not make 168, after he confirmed that he could make 168 ..... means that you are just a bottom-feeding troll who has made an art-form out of making excuses to justify why your favorite fighter failed to live up to his hype

                      1) you just admitted that " maybe " Ward could have made 168, but then you completely failed to give him the benefit of the doubt.....

                      2) you are insinuating that Ward may not have been able to make 168, but are then completely ignoring the fact that your pacifist girlfriend killed that fight by demanding a catchweight of 164..... so, you don't think Ward could have made 168, but Golovkin thinks that Ward could have made 164

                      3) you still have not explained why Golovkin insisted that he was willing and able to make 154..... immediately after refusing to negotiate on weight with Cotto/Canelo

                      4) you still have not explained how Golovkin is not the obvious common denominator in killing 4 HUGE fights..... after his moustachio'd trainer admitted that he does not care about legacy and will only fight on his terms

                      get to it, dropkick

also, write me a 1000-word essay explaining how the fk Adama is better than Mora..... actually, don't..... I have enough comedy-material on that already

so, yea..... just that small matter of your brain-fart in my sig
