First of all, **** Abel Sanchez. He's a goddamn loudmouth. lol Lara definately deserves a fight with GGG. But he's right on the money with Mora. Mora did not deserve a fight with GGG. However, Mora had his chance to fight GGG earlier in GGG's career and as Mora said in the article he turned it down because at the time GGG was all risk and no reward.

In the same article it has a Sanchez qoute about ggg wanting to fight him. But after that interview is when ggg turned down the fight on hbo to fight a nobody bum off tv, in a tiny capacity ballroom/restaurant.

I am not the one doing mental gymnastics. Sergio Mora admitted he was offered the fight with GGG before GGG got big and turned it down. You seem to be ok with that. But when GGG becomes bigger than Mora ever was Mora changed his mind and wanted the fight. Then you accuse GGG of ducking him.

The debate was never that Adama was a great opponent but whether or not he was a better opponent than Mora. Because he performed better against better opposition more recently than Mora and actually possessed punching power unlike Mora Adama was the better option. Mora was the safe option. A well known fighter who would be an easy night.
