They might as well postpone many fights because they're bigger later. Kills me.
    Haha.

It's like, would these pro-marinaters be disappointed?

"Aw, man. We're getting the big fight next month? What a bummer."

"Man, it would be so much better in two years. I can't believe they think we want good fights now without them marinating. All they care about are the fans! As a fan, this sucks!"

I hate that marinate BS.Ten years ago or so the promoters didn't do that. When the fight was hot they made it right then. We had to wait an extra year or so for Canelo vs GGG for Oscar to get his confidence up waiting for GGG to show signs of slipping. The fight would probably have made the same money a year ago. Wilder vs AJ is hot now. It doesn't need to marinate. Spence vs Thurman is hot right now. It doesn't need to marinate. Sometimes they marinate the hot fight until one of the two rivals loses to somebody else and the fight isn't hot anymore.

If you owned your own business you would know why. There’s one or two fighters in a promotional company that bring in the revenue for everything. Nobody is paying their hard earned money to go watch Shakur Stevenson. It’s fighters like prime Manny that make the money for Bob to pay all these other guys salary. Crawford is probably barely starting to turn a profit and that’s after years of investing and building him up.

Depends. For example there is no need for Crawford/Indingo (Name?) to marinate because it would never get bigger than that and it was for all the belts, but i could respect Spence/Thurman getting done later. You just got to understand that in boxing marketing a fight at its peak is very important due to the financial demands of both fighters and everyone else involve.

Yeah i don't think some people understand the business side of boxing, they think because someone acknowledge that side of boxing, it means you don't want a fight to happen or you are NOT a boxing fan lol.

The Promoters and fighters line is always around agreeing terms and purse etc.

In reality its usually a case of fighters waiting each other out to gain an advantage, like a loss, bad performance, getting old / injured.

Its gamesmanship and manipulting the casual fans.

There have been so many fights that should have happened sooner than later.
Brook vs Spence comes to mind.
Spence was calling out Brook before and after the Algieri fight.
Even Dibella chimed in and was saying Brook would avoid Spence and all that crap right after the Algieri fight.
Brook called their bluff, and all of a sudden...crickets...
Spence need to take his mandatory 41 yr old Bundu doe.
Brook was calling out everybody, Gift Garcia, Broner, Thurman, and only Vargas responded.
Fast-forward Brook took the lucrative lil G fight and got a devastating eye injury.
You know the rest of the story.
                  Things happen in the interim.
