    How about yourself?
Grew up in Detroit around Kronk gym. Spent my fair share of time putting work in. I'm related to a name you might recognize. My fam came of age when Kronk was Kronk and passed a lot of that on to me. Grew up with some of the young guys you see from the Detroit area who are professionals now.

I don't have the amateur experience you have though; spent time playing basketball (lawyer now). Still think I know a few things myself.

Lol all good man! I can't bring myself to hate anyone in the squared circle, unless they're a blatant cheater taking dives of PEDs. It takes hard work and dedication to get ring ready even as a journeyman, so I have the utmost respect for them all. Eubank is an exceptional athlete and without doubt a consummate professional when it comes to training.

But even I'll admit Sr and Jr can be very grating with their personas.

Nah dog, I don't believe you at all. Everybody knows Kronk is known for gym wars.

“There is no sparring, just fighting. The gym is legendary for its rustic ring wars.”

By the end of the “tour”, there was one fighter who got cut so bad, the action had to be stopped. The bleeding got to the point where it looked like the old, tattered, white canvas had a fresh coat of red paint. The next sparring session ended when Hearns’ sparring partner, Willie “Dynamite” Smith got knocked out cold by a fighter whose name slips my mind. When asked about what the journalist witnessed that day, I said, “This is what it’s like every day.” Steward followed with, “It’s like no other place in the world. These guys at Kronk, they’re fighting for their very lives and they’ve got to get better or they get out.”

Its a long asś article but its more of the same. This guy was there in 88' but the stories are from all over the place.

"Everyday was a gym war at Kronk Gym"

You tell me dude, does it look like these guys are going lite or getting the heads bro?

When I was competing, a older friend of mine who was 200 lbs maybe 6'2" used to spar with me a lot. I used to wreck him because he wouldn't push himself and start off the session throwing pitty pats. His brain wasn't in the right place. Once you get caught early in a session, the rest of it is a nightmare unless you've got that rare quality of being able to shift gears and adjust which most fighters don't have.

A later sparring session --- same cat, I start lighting him up. ****ing his head, shoe-shining his ribs. He starts getting desperate cuz he's in a dog fight now. I'm putting him in a doe-or-die position. Guess what? Something clicked in his head like: I'm sick of getting lit the fůck up so I'm going to light this cat up. He started doing good, landing some good shots. Once he was in that zone, he started doing real good --- much better than he ever did. You need to dog it out to get good otherwise when you get hit for real you turn into a půssy.

This guy is starting to sound more and more like Paulie each day. I still want JCC JR. vs. Eubank Jr. Battle of the underachievers.

There's a difference between articles and videos from nearly 30 years ago and what I've seen with my own eyes. (Its also funny you think you know more about my community than I do; you strike me as European). I'm not that old (was a baby when the video was made) but all sparring ain't made equal. Maybe in this context it was a Toney/McClellan style session, but we wouldn't know.

Kronk been around a long time. The new Kronk aint the real Kronk. The real Kronk was known for gym wars. Everybody in the game knows that. If you're going to talk about Kronk lite, maybe don't even go there cuz that aint the real Kronk.

You're getting struck wrong, no surprise. Nowhere near Europe. Now I know you're faking it man, everybody in the game knows Euro's go mad lite in sparring.

I probably do know more about Kronk that you do. What you went there on a Sunday maybe 3x or some shít?

Lol funny ****. Hamsterdam? McNulty? Must be from Baltimore (or you love the Wire). Didn't pay attention to your bio initially. Just thought the leaps you were making came off like some arrogant European.

Also shouldve noticed "getting to heads bro" lol

But like I said, I'm not a boxer fam; not "in the game". I'm a corporate lawyer. Just spent a lot of time learning some stuff and around pros when I was coming up. You take it how you want to.

Yeah you're spot on dude, i have nothing but repsect for Jr's abilities in the ring but the way he and his father conduct themselves outside the ring are deplorable. I still see Eubank winning another world title, hopefully with age comes a little maturity and gratitude for the skills that got him where he is.

I've not seen anything untoward from Jr yet except a little arrogance/confidence that I think you need to have to be great. Sr is another story, some of the things he does and says I feel hold Jr back because even if it's nothing to do with Jr he's guilty by association.
