And I'm not even saying Easter is a bad fighter. It's just WAYYY to soon to take on a P4P Top 10 boxer after just 20 fights. And you best win is an SD against Commey... Easter will lose. Make no mistake about it.

Not sure I'm right but I think Garcia should have signed with GBP for the short term fight deal. In most cases it's like 3 fight deals which would have only been like a year and a half if he fought every 6 months which is not unrealistic.

He would have gotten the HUGE Cotto fight, and regardless of the stage of his career that Cotto is in, it would be a great name on Garcias record and brought him some mainstream fame. Next up I think GBP would have gotten him the Flanigan fight or some other throw away fight for good money. Then the Linares fight late 2018. Say what you want but the 2 biggest names in the sport right now in Canelo and Joshua both have promoters and I think they both do a great job for their fighters and it shows in ticket sales and PPV numbers for both. Garcia has the kind of skill and personality to be a big star and I think he was on his way there with Top Rank before the contract dispute sidelined him.

What are the other options? There's Figueroa, who else?
There are no big names waiting for him.
I don't think he can retire early at the rate he's going.
Everyone else wants to retire already.
