Any muscle Rigo can put on can only help him.

Loma knocks people out by simply wearing them out. Accumulative KO's if you will. Rigo just has no idea if he can bring enough power to the fight to keep that at bay.

Loma in a late round- maybe 10?- TKO.
Fact: Rigo is 17-0 with 11 KO's & his last fight ended in a KO before jim FORCED a different call.....Rigo got a punch while loma has to put many punches together for a KO so I don't know where & how you came up with that opinion. They both had over 300 fights before going pro. In their pro record Rigo has 17 fights & loma has 10.

Weight matters here people, no matter how we try to spin it. When you have two guys this close in skill set, the other variables play a larger role in the fight.

However, the key for me in this fight will be Rigo's counter punching and his ability to make Loma miss. He doesn't have any offensive advantages here. Loma was out gunning Gary Russell and that kid probably has the fastest hands in all of boxing. Don't expect to see Rigo putting on some offensive clinic. He's going to try and nullify the weight advantage by making Loma slow down (hesitate).

I expect him to shorten the distance and look to counter Loma on the inside; with solid body work in support. Especially to slow down all the shifting and level changes Loma throws at you (the **** does look like the matrix sometimes lol).

It'll be one we a watch a few times over. There'll be lots of teachable moments for sure.

Respect Rigo's hubris and willingness to go up to fight a very tough, skilled opponent. However, a good big man almost always beats a good little man. I don't see this changing with this fight. Loma KO9.

This is a fight where the weight is a non issue. both guys are going to need to utilize their speed neither guy is going to put on extra water weight to slow them down. I dont see any scenario where Loma uses his size to muscle or bully rigo. neither guy fights that way. This will be a tactical fight between two master technicians dont be suprised if we get a snoozer.

I absolutely expect a snoozer, but a technical bout in similar fashion to Hearns v. Benitez. Weight matters here too btw.

I highly doubt this will be a snoozer. Loma is waaay too active with tons of tricks up his sleeve, dude is a machine. Props to Rigo for moving up for the fight, looks like he's out to prove something. Both are. This will be a great fight.

Always near Christmas time, Loma seems to be the gift that keeps giving- to Boxing fans. Last year, it was Walters. I wouldn't be surprised if this turns out to be FOTY.

Weight makes a big difference I know Rigo can say it doesn't all he wants but the truth is it does otherwise weight classes wouldn't be established. I'm a fan of Rigo but he should have made the fight one weight class lower. I guess he felt he's 37 years old and he might not get another opportunity like this to make a statement to show how good he is. Maybe Rigo sees something in Loma he can expose.

The weight difference is not going to matter. That only matters when one fighter mauls another and leans on him which causes a fighter back pain and wears the fighter down. The styles involved are not conducive to that. As to the 2 inch difference in height - history is dotted with countless taller fighters losing to shorter ones. It will come down to skills and I wouldnt bet any money on this fight. I see a draw.
