It is an 8 lb difference. That is over a 6.5% weight increase for Guillermo Rigondeaux. It has been said that Rigo won't weigh much more than the limit. Vasyl Lomachenko on the other hand will come in above 140 lb on fight night. I hope Loma lays the smack down and retires Rigo.

5-6 kg's can be a LOT..... also, there will be a whole lotta skill in the other corner as well

I remember Donaire explaining how he couldn't keep the weight on after moving up to 122, and we saw how things levelled off for a skilled fighter like chocolatito with those few extra pounds

size matters..... but, it can be overcome

I like the technical precision of Rigo, but Loma is a helluva guy to give away that much weight

wouldn't bet a dollar on that fight

Well if anyone can do it, it's Rigo.

I do not disagree, but Rigo doesn't exactly have power to begin with. That is Rigondeaux's only worry here. He and Lomachenko are about even in experience (Loma's 9 fight pro career is offset by the million and half fights he had as an amateur), their skills are close, but I see both quickness and power being totally on Lomachenko's side. Any muscle Rigo can put on can only help him.

Loma knocks people out by simply wearing them out. Accumulative KO's if you will. Rigo just has no idea if he can bring enough power to the fight to keep that at bay.

Loma in a late round- maybe 10?- TKO.

I agree with that completely if anyone else in rigos division was goin up that much to fight I would think it was some kind of joke but I just think rigos on on another level and he will negate a lot of that weight, but if he gets caught it's lights out.. I favour Loma in this fight, I just don't think the margins are as wide as some ppl are saying

I actually like Loma he's one of my fav boxers and I'm not really a fan of rigo but you have to respect him, nobody can deny his skills

It's hard for me to see how this fight will be competitive. I know Rigondeaux is a great technical fighter but this asking a lot against such as versatile fighter. If this the fight Lomachenko chose in his 2nd fight instead of Salido I would give Rigondeaux a shot but not at this stage. I would love to be proven wrong but I can't see it.

Rigondeaux got balls , went up 2 weight to fight Loma and Loma didn't want to meet at 126 , or they could have the weight room in the same day of the fight , like it is done in the olimpic s .
And Loma wouldn't go up 2 weight to fight Crawford? Haha .

Rigo will win , his power punch and counter skills will be the winning factor.

I want to see what Loma does when rigo hits him , I'm pretty sure that loma will stop throwing punches and then rigondeaux will impose his style and win it .

                  Rigo by the ko ....

Hit and not be hit ; can not hit what you don't see .
