People have to understand there's usually a budget to stage a fight card. A fight between GarciaVsRios would get similar budget to GarciaVsPorter. Let's say the budget is $2mil, Out of that Porter would deft demand half, leaving Garcia with the other half; That's $1mil apiece, which isn't a bad payday. BUUUUT if you fight a guy like Rios, you can offer him somewhere around $500k, and Garcia could take home $1.5mil. Which fight would you take if you're Garcia? Danny is one of my fav fighters, but he's more interested in making money than he is in becoming ATG. I personally have no prob with that.
For whatever reason, PBC has a greater budget to stage fight at the beginning of the year, so expect GarciaVsPorter to take place around March-April.Comment
