I have Garcia beating Porter, I see it as a Mattyhsse vs Garcia repeat. Porter is a feather fisted fighter at 147, Garcia will take his punches and counter him to a decision. Can't believe he ducked.

Obviously Garcia isn't as confident as you that he can take Porter's punch or he would have jumped on the fight.

Garcia-Porter will happen in 2018. There's nothing wrong with taking a tune up after losing your belt and coming off a long layoff.

People have to understand there's usually a budget to stage a fight card. A fight between GarciaVsRios would get similar budget to GarciaVsPorter. Let's say the budget is $2mil, Out of that Porter would deft demand half, leaving Garcia with the other half; That's $1mil apiece, which isn't a bad payday. BUUUUT if you fight a guy like Rios, you can offer him somewhere around $500k, and Garcia could take home $1.5mil. Which fight would you take if you're Garcia? Danny is one of my fav fighters, but he's more interested in making money than he is in becoming ATG. I personally have no prob with that.

For whatever reason, PBC has a greater budget to stage fight at the beginning of the year, so expect GarciaVsPorter to take place around March-April.

Correction: Perfect fight for Garcia. He could counter Wild-thing Porter all night long when he rushes in head first like he usually does. Just need a ref that won't let Porter get away with the WWE moves he likes to pull.
