I'm definitely more excited to see this one that anything left on the calendar for 2017.

Good on them getting it on with free ESPN. This fight is a gift. I hope it's as good as I imagine it being. Can't get any more high level that this.

Should be a great fight! Does anyone know who is on the undercard yet?

Santa Cruz is difficult to get in the ring (especially if your non PBC). I think he will likely be at 135 in his next bout. GBP won't sacrifice Berchelt, Floyd & Gervonta said they don't want to fight him either, so I think Top Rank has more guys/better connections at 135 and seems he wants to get to a 3rd title in record time.

At least they admitted it instead of talking all kinds of crap and hiding. They just said "We aren't fighting him anytime soon and don't care about ever fighting him". That's fairly refreshing if you look past the obvious lack of ambition in fighting other top fighters.

I'm pretty sure even Roman gonzalez walks around at 129 2 months before a fight.
Don't know if it's good or bad. I saw a picture of Rigo on the scale about a month ago on Facebook. I've always heard of him walking around at 124 or 126 between fights. He's never out of shape. I'm pretty sure 129 is quite unusual for him. No idea how he's going about that weight gain.

im glad they sold out the theatre..its a good place to see a fight.....just selling the theatre out doesnt guarantee they could have sold 10k in the garden....i think its a big fight and the diehards are taking notice and knowing how small the venue is they gobbled em up

having it in the theatre is the right call....5k at a price the promoters like is good deal for them....the exclusivity of the event makes it more special

I have hard time believing that Rigo ever been walking on Miami Beach with 130+. He a small dude, am 100% sure he could do 118 easily easily
