Pretty much, lol. No idea how small you can scale Madison Square Garden, but logic would tell you that they should've just run the big room, at a reasonable price ($500-$50), and only open up the upper deck (at anything between $40 and $20) when the ticket tracking showed that most of the lower bowl seats were sold.

No idea of the placement of the seats and the different price points, it'd seem as if Lomachenko-Rigondeaux was well on its way to selling 8k-9k full value tickets (with comps/discounts coming in on top of that).

MSG having a max capacity of almost 20k is pretty daunting, but closing off the top level will ease that.

Not gonna lie I underestimated Rigo's drawing power. I thought he only had 20 fans It's the small hall but that still holds around 5-6k right?

Damn! Not bad at all... You made out like a bandit. I bet you could get x3, x4 that night of the fight.

It is a classy affair as darius45 said. It's a fight people want to see. It's a fight between two of the best P4P fighters in the world and they made it happen despite weight class. Both are so skilled that P4P, weight class shouldn't play the biggest factor in the outcome. Props to both. They deserve this fight and the sellout. Better than hearing the promotor say "it's not the right time yet...let them both have some breakout victories and it will be even BIGGER in 5 years!

                  ...like "let Juanma/Gamboa marinate"

Small capacity, but still very nice that they sold out two months beforehand. I guess I won't be flying in now.
