Thank God for someone actually speaking sense on NSB for once. like you pointed out this fight hasn't even reach it peak yet. Hearn obviously wanted to maximise the financial part it too.
This is why he wanted Wilder to come here to fight Whyte, when that didn't happen he is talking about Joshua fighting in america (Showtime seem interested) which would make him known to people there.
This fight is a NO brainer, there would be too much money lost for it not to happen from both sides.Comment

I do honestly think Wilder is ducking Dillian Whyte... He won't even engage with him, except for calling out Hearn for offering him a career-high, multimillion pound offer to both knock out Whyte (if he's that confident) and build his profile tremendously in the UK (and probably the US too for that matter)...
Can't say it's high risk / little reward with the cash offered... So why not take it??
Now we get Stiverne II...Comment

If the plan is to fight someone other than Wilder in the USA next, I suppose that means they want Wilder to come to England, because there's no way that Joshua goes a whole calendar year not fighting at home. I can see the fight location turning into another tug of war, since Wilder also seems to think he's entitled to fight at homeComment

I have no doubt that AJ is not at all scared of wilder, but no boxer ever is when they duck, they ALWAYS duck because they know its a 50-50 fight they might lose & therefore derail their career from maximum paydays possible & instead can make more dragging it out vs bums. The reason im calling it a duck is because Wilder wants the fight immediately & this fight is as big as its gonna get right now,no amount of koing bum journeyman will make AJ a bigger star & Wilders as big as hell get unless he kos Joshua.
And im no AJ hater, I'm just honest that if any other fighter did this they'd be called a Duck. I think this fight needs to happen asap as then the rematch can happen in 2019 at the latest,& in hw division every fight can be anyone getting kod.Last edited by kushking; 10-10-2017, 06:36 AM.Comment

The problem with that is that if 1 of them loses or injures themselves then they just wasted a huge opportunity to maximize the fight as being between two undefeated champs.

Whyte also want Wilder immediately, in fact he made him an offer that would have represent the highest payday for Wilder. Does that mean Wilder ducked Whyte?Comment

Wilder can shout all he wants because that's the only thing that keeps his name out there, riding the coattails of Joshuas popularity, his fans lap it up, but even Wilder knows it aint happening early 2018.Comment

Joshua and Hearn are the ones that get the blame by the Wilder crew, but for sure Showtime and Haymon don't want the fight to happen til the fight is at its most financially rewarding.

The A-side always gets the blame in boxing, thats how it is. When you are the one doing the calling out its because you know you are the B-side, like you said am sure the fight would happen next year.
All they both need to do is keep on winning, and if they are that good then they should both keep on winning.Comment

Maybe Joshua/Wilder at Wembley in the summer. Although if Haye has the WBO by that time they'll go Joshua/Haye at Wembley, too much money in that fight
Joshua/Wilder in Vegas end of the yearComment

I think Whyte would be prohibitive betting underdog. I can't see Dillian doing anything but getting 'baptised' or 'slept' or 'sonned' or whatever stuff Wilder comes out with.
Also tbh, no fighter in the sport is going to 'duck' Joshua. He's the poster boy of the sport and the winning lottery ticket. I'm 6'1 and 13 stone and I am not a fighter. I'd fight Joshua, lol. Even footage of him sparking me with a jab would earn me some serious dough.Comment
