Inside fighting seems like a lost art

He threw uppercuts on the inside, if you didnt see them you clearly didnt see the fight. IN fact, his uppercuts on the inside have been one of his main weapons for years now. He landed about 6 in a row in the now infamous Blackwell fight.
How about you actually watch some of the sport and chat less ****?
im not making this upComment

It is a dying art. Also referee's these days don't do much to help that either. If one fighter doesn't want to fight inside, he just has to clinch for 2 seconds and the ref steams in and breaks it up. I used to see ref's telling fighters to work out of the clinches but it's very rare to see it these days.Comment

Sad thing is its easy to teach. Its spoken about as if it were some sort of difficult science. Inside/outside fighting is basically still beig able to hit the target no matter how far or close it is. And just knowing how to block and catch no matter how close/far the punches are away from you. For some reason some fighters get confused up close.
People say Kov is not a good inside fighter, but if you watch close, he covers up when he's inside. And he simply knows how to hit the target up close.
He's good at it. Now as far as being crafty up close, and staying their for long periods of time, he's no expert at it. But he gets his sheit off up close.Comment

I was thinking the same thing. There was alota times they both just had there heads together doing nothing. I thought it was strange cause it was so early in the fight and neither seemed gassed, but both were doing a lot of stalling not throwing a whole lotComment
