The promoters are going to have to utilize other revenue streams such as American PPV, online live streaming and closed circuit tv in order to make this a promotional commercial success.

This is like BJS telling Canelo if he wants to be a global, star that he has to come to the UK for a middleweight title fight. Lol, Wilder really believes his own hype, I'll give him that at least. You'll be packing your bags and heading to Wembley or some other 90,000 seat stadium when you fight Joshua and Getting paid more than you ever could for some 12,000 fans Barclay event or some garbage Vegas fight where half the crowd is comped casino guests.

I get the hype behind fighting in Vegas, but recent fights there have been devoid of atmosphere - except maybe Mayweather's recent fight. Boxing's supposed to be a spectacle and even Deontay got caught up in the Wembley atmosphere in April and said he wanted to travel over. Hence its a bit of a change of heart, but whatever, a man's entitled to feel whatever kind of way he wants.

My issue is this whole "You have to fight in America to be global"... Klitchsko barely did in 10 years but he was globally recognised. Apart from Mayweather and Pacquaio, maybe Golovkin and Canelo... who else is globally recognised having fought in the US? Boxing just doesn't have the same global reach is used to, whether you box in America or not. The focus should be on the fight and the atmosphere, not so much the location!

I can see why a pinoy would be scared of Vegas.

That's where your national hero got face planted and damn-near killed.

The bottom line is, a prizefighter cannot expect to earn a $100 mil fighting in the U.K. In front of a live gate of a 100,000 or more people at Wembley stadium.

Too slow and muscle-bound to avoid getting Baptized.

Any muppet swallowing that garbage Windmill spouts needs to get their head checked. AJs weigh ins are more popular in the USA than Wilder's half filled Alabama high school gymnasium fights.
