He changed his style as he got older, into much more of a slower-paced, counter-punching outside fighter to tame the kids. But Tarver isn't a kid, he's a slow-paced fighter himself. I just think that Hopkins can (and will) bring back the terror to some extent, and completely out-work Tarver with accurate shots to a clear-cut decision.

Winky Wright has brilliant defence, brilliant jab, brilliant peek-a-boo style and all that, and he is a brilliant fighter and arm-puncher. But he's blown-up light-middle whereas Taylor is a full middleweight who is getting even stronger at the weight. With Taylor, not many have seen his pre-Hopkins fights.. I have. Listen, Taylor never lost a round in his whole career until the Hopkins fights. He was nervous both times against Hopkins, and didn't perform to his full ability. He'll be fine against Winky now. Taylor has the best left jab in the history of the middleweight division. At his best, Taylor is the snappiest hitter in the world and hits with as much precision as anything since Joe Louis. And he's stronger than Winky.

....The first thing I thought about when I saw what Hopkins to to Tarver is that Winky is in trouble. You may turn out to be right nearly all the way around.

I was the only one on this forum who said that Calzaghe at his best would absolutely anihilate Lacy and embarass him with ease.

I also stand by my choice that Lacy would beat the Calzaghe that fought Salem in one round (I now realise that the awful performance was because Joe was going through a messy divorce at that time, and not washed up or dead at the weight).
