      You might want to re-calculate.
A catchweight is any weight other than a divison's weight limit. My calculations are on point.

TMT's very own Nate Jones talks about how drained Canelo was at the weigh in.

He was and you just proved my point. Floyds skills were far superior no doubt I just think he avoided a lot of challenges. Hof career no doubt and an atg

Manny admit that he was seeking an advantage, even though he weighed enough to make 147.

And the effort, according to him, is really going to be very demanding.“Mahirap talaga `yung hindi ka kakain. Malaking epekto `yun pag-dating sa fight, especially kung dikdikan ang laban. Disadvantage talaga pag nagre-reduce ka," he said.

                Translation:

"It's really hard for you to eat. It's a big impact to the fight, especially when the fight is over. Disadvantage really is when you're reducing, "

Pacquiao pointed out that the weight reduction the Puerto Rican is doing may play a crucial role in the outcome of their World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight championship bout a week from now.

Aside from sweating it out, Pacquiao said Cotto also needed to lessen his food intake for him to go down at the desired catch weight of 145 pounds.

At the moment, Pacquiao weighs around 148 to 149 pounds, but easily loses three pounds at the most after workout just like he did Saturday at the Wild Card gym.

To be fair, of course I believe Mayweather asked for 152 for his advantage. But let's be real. Which fighter needed an advantage more? Mayweather is not big enough for 154 (which would obviously be an advantage for Canelo), so bringing Canelo down a couple of pounds, I think it's fair. Manny DID NOT need to bring Cotto down from 147. Not at all.

Canelo was at 153.5 for the Trout fight.

"Canelo weighed in at 153½, with Trout at 153¼, both slightly below the division limit of 154 pounds. "

But then again every fighter that has fought Cotto says it’s like going to hell during negotiations so he could’ve been using the 2 lbs as leverage.
Don't forget Manny's original offer was the fight at 143

While Cotto was busting his a$$ off to make weight Manny was singing Karaoki, makes sense.
