Comments Thread For: Kelly Pavlik Reflects on Andre Ward Fight Falling Through

Former WBC/WBO middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik (40-2) hit a low point in his career when he lost an unanimous decision to Sergio Martinez in April 20, 2010. Pavlik floored Martinez in the fight but was unable to overcome cuts over both of his eyes. The loss was the second and last of his career. His only other loss was to future Hall of Fame member Bernard Hopkins in a bout contested at a 170 pound catch-weight.

Ward would of been in Pavlik's chest like he was in Allan Green's

In my view Eastern Europeans are better than Americans in every department except for running and wrestling

Who cares? Ward is retired. Stop posting about him please.

Pavlik was a one-dimensional fighter. Left jab, straight right hand. Ward would have defeated him the same way Hopkins did.

I thought Pavlik pulled out because he was having mini-seizures or something

Nah. Kelly stops Ward the same way he stopped Taylor.

Pavlik was starting to look really bad in his last few fights. Ward would have gave him the Bernard Hopkins treatment. He never learned to move his head like Hopkins warned him after their fight.

We're just as bad, if not worse.
