    Cotto Should Move to 147

Its funny because this Cotto vs Paulie stuff happened just after I got finish watching the Cotto vs Torres fight and to prove to some of you that Im not hating on Cotto check this out.

I was saying the whole time that I think Cotto wont be that good at 147 because he gets hurt now and wont have the size advantage at 147 but now Ive change my mind. You never can tell for sure because every fighter is different. He still could do just like I say and not have the size advantage and get KO by the bigger punchers but he could actually be pretty good.

What changed my mind was that I was looking at Cotto and he looked funny looking. His body, his shape, and his facial expressions. He looked drain and he looked like his body was literaly being forced into a weight that it doesnt belong in. Then watching the fight you could see that Torres was good but Cotto also was just literaly too big for his own body.

I think at 147 his body will look more natural, he will feel much better, wont be drained, and will be able to take a punch much better.

This is another reason why Im starting to think his weigh in was moved up. They said he was supposed to come in smaller for this fight but I think he really might be struggling to make the weight, will weigh in at 140 on the dot, and may have to weigh in twice. I think they are worried that he really maybe drained for this fight and will be hard to chase down Paulie for 12 rounds.

I think he has big fights on the table at 140 with Castillo, Chico, Harris, and maybe even Hatton but I wouldnt be surprised to see him turn them all down unless its at 147. I dont think he can make the weight anymore even for big money.

Im really interested to see how he looks at 147 because what weve seen at 140 hasnt been great and he's struggling more and more every fight. I think he looks much better at 147 and would love to see him fight anyone in his next fight. I think he may surprise some people even if he struggles or loses against Paulie

He looks alot like Gatti did when he weighed in. And Gatti would weigh in like 20 lbs over the limit.

Nah, this is different. He's hit the wall now and I dont think he can make it anymore even if he wanted to. and if by some miracle he did make it then he would be KO

So, do you think Malignaggi will beat Cotto?

Castillo is usre to get suspended,so the fight wouldnt be happenin in November anyway.

Hatton doesnt seem that intrested in a cotto fight,he had been calling out castillo/corrales.

Even before the paulie fight cotto had 1 fight max at 140,he said he was moving to 147 at the end of the year.I dont think theres that many appealing matchups for him at 140 anymore.IF he fight in november he should take a fight @147,and next year castillo@147.

Man, Gatti was severly weight drained for years at 140. He started his career like 13 years ago at 135, and look at him now. You don't know what the **** you're talking about, son. "He hit the wall". You're a ****ing tool.

I'm with you. I've said it before that I actually think Cotto would take a better punch at 147 and have better combinations than he has shown in his last few fights. If you look earlier in his career, when he was making 140 naturally, he had nice combinations and pretty good boxing skills. However in his last few fights he appears to be more of a plodder and looks like he loads up more than before.

I'm not sure if his power will translate to 147lbs though. I think he will still have good power but I'm not sure if he will have the debilitating power that he now has at 140lbs.

But then again this is all speculation however I think that Cotto will definitely move to 147lbs very soon with only 1 more possible fight at 140lbs (vs Castillo).

I'm not the only one to think that Cotto is more dangerous at 147lbs, look at Hatton and Billy Graham interview transcripts and you will see that at 140lbs they would fight Cotto but at 147lbs they wouldn't want to face him.

I think everybody knows that, he said it himself that this is his last year at 140. And I'm pretty sure that the only thing keeping him at 140 is Bob Arum.
