    Fighting Kov lessens your career span drastically. If there's no belt or money in it, don't do it.

                      Sadly, boxing is a sport where if you take an "L" you are frowned upon and could be the end of your career as a top fighter.

                      If he loses to Kovalev, he will never get another meaningful fight with a good pay day. This is his job!

                      Smarter to bide his time and build up his name and wait until he can get a better offer.
