and canelo didnt stand and throw down or even counter nearly as well as every canelo fan thought. Had he, maybe he wouldve gone down. but hes smarter than that and so are his trainers so that was a dumb expectation. i guess we cant all be right always. are some GGG fans overzealous? certainly. are the anti-GGG people just the same? certainly.

Watch the fight again. Canelo was running, fighting only a few seconds in each round. Most of the rounds he spent by running without countering. He won only some episodes, but not the whole fight. To win the champion you must dominate, in close fights champion gets the victory.

We'll Canelo didn't win. It was a draw. And I watched the fight 6-7 times already and I can make a case for either fighter winning. It really was a great, close fight that could have gone either way.

Exactly! It was a great fight that was very close that could have gone either way. I think the fans won cause we get to see it again. But that's just me. I'm sure alot of people are gonna disagree

Perhaps when GGG will get old and his bones creaking, then Canelo will have the best chance to defeat him. Why not push the rematch to 2020?

That's a media excuse cuz lil g hasn't changed AT ALL, the only thing that changed was the competition in Jacobs & Nelo which BOTH BEAT lil g. Jermall vs. lil g is the fight the real fans want but not the lil g fans.....

Charlo loses to both right now. He needs to step up and beat someone at the top of the division because right now canelo and ggg are bona fide ppv stars and charlo doesnt bring a whole lot to the table. If he beats someone like lemiuex or jacobs or even quillen then i think he jumps to the top of the list but as of now those aforementioned fighters are all bigger names and probably more deserving
