Probably did it to retaliate after being headbutted while the ref stood by with his thumb up his ass.

He stayed down against Lewis when he could have gotten up and continued. After he bit Holyfield the first time the ref clearly told him if you bite him again you are DQed. A few seconds later Tyson bite him again. Tyson wanted out of that fight and biting Holyfield was the quickest and surest way out.
          You're an idiot.

It's not how you start it's how you finish in boxing. 'Kovalev was just a puncher' - Don Turner said that after the 2nd fight and he was in Kovalev's corner. You cannot accept reality. And to say Kovalev was P4P no 1 is ridiculous. You could say top 5 before he ran into Ward, but Ward proved he was not the full package, so even top 5 was actually over rating him. Ward is a master boxer, big difference in skill set to a knockout artist. Cue the 'low blows', 'hugging' bull**** excuses again.... (sigh)

You have to wonder what was going through Ward's mind. He was so fatigued by the end of the first fight that Kovalev almost knocked him down in the 12th round of that fight with just a tap to the liver. That was before Ward packed on all that extra muscle for the rematch, which causes you to fatigue much faster. And that was in a fight where Kovalev barely went to the body at all early, unlike the rematch.

So when you look at it, all the factors were there halfway through the Kovalev-Ward rematch to suggest that poker face or not, Ward may not have believed he was going to make it through the 12th round, and as a result, he may have wanted out of there.
Glad i'm not the only one seeing the obvious; Ward did the same thing vs Kessler; he expanded a lot of energy getting in and out in the early part, then his tank ran dry and Kessler sensed it and started pressurizing him.

The intentional headbutts started getting in. Ward wanted out.

What's your take on Golovkin selling himself to carry Canelo to the scorecards?

That was quite obvious to a lot of people.

                Watch Holyfield vs Toney.

Nady gave Holyfield a bunch of warnings for butting with his head. Toney handled his business, didn't give a **** and knocked Holyfield out.

Holyfield was a warrior but got away too easy with headbutting without any consequences.

They had plenty of reason to believe Holyfield was on peds thats why Tyson wasnt granted one either when he wanted Holyfield tested ,again i wonder why ?

Holyfield was also almost knocked out by Tyson LIKE Cooper when he replaced Tyson in a time period when Tyson was faster and more mobile ,but we'll forget about that too.
They were tested google it Tyson asked for It,
Tyson got rocked by frank Bruno so what’s the ***ing difference **** happens Christ Holyfield got rocked loads,Tyson would ko him cause cooper hurt him wtf man no responding no more to ur utter childish triangle theory’s he lost 2x v Holyfield deal with hit and he was the one that got kod bottle:

Shid, Holyfield would've gotten extra dirty to make it out of the early rounds against that Tyson!

The Mike he fought wasn't as disciplined, dedicated, didn't have the same motivation, the hunger, agility, speed, and defensive responsibility!

Cus D'Amato would've instructed Mike to stay calm, and give Holyfield a "phantom forearm or phantom elbow" to the face!

So basically, throw a punch but follow through with a forearm or elbow!

After awhile Evander will stop once he tastes enough bone on his nose and !

Prime Iron Mike with Cus D'Amato stops him in 8 rounds!
Agreed! I'm assuming most who argue against the above weren't around to see Mike in his prime.

They weren't but Tyson is gma fighter that needed someone to basically "hold his hand" and his mentor/father figure Cus D'Amato was the one!

He would've kept Mike away from Don King and keep him on the straight and narrow from all those leeches and women who used him!

It saddens me we never got to see that version of Mike against the elites that came on later in his career!

I have no doubt he'd beat them all with only Lewis, Foreman, Holyfield giving him his toughest bouts!
