With that said, Charlo vs. either of those guys is a superfight to real American boxing fans. It would launch Charlo into that P4P #1 discussion beside Crawford and Lomachenko.

I'd say Charlo would be more than happy to wait for the winner of GGG/Canelo-2 rather than fighting GGG straight away. He earns a lot more money going for the title via that route, and he also gets time to have another fight or 2 at 160 to prepare himself.

As some others pointed out, what does the WBC benefit from Canelo Who doesn’t acknowledge their straps? The WBC needs to push their belts and protocol. However, GGG ducked Jacobs ( as he did too) for a while until the WBA forced it when they didn’t acknowledge the Brook defense.
