martinez doesn't have a great style for golovkin. golovkin cuts off the ring too well, and martinez always took breaks and got hit late in the fight against punchers. pavlik and chavez, lesser, slow fighters than golovkin, caught up to martinez.

williams would be able to bck him up with reach and activity and would do better, imo. willams also had a better chin than martinez. i don't think either beats golovkin in his prime. maybe he's slid enough that they would now, but four years ago he was too good and too big.


i'd like to see golovkin in with another TNT puncher. put him in there with julian jackson and see who is still standing after four rounds.
