Listen up and listen good. Nard has said, more times than I can count, that all he cares for is the 20th defense and, after that, he has nothing left to fight for. Eastman is #20 and, after that fight, he's just looking for money. Everyone knows he's the Undisputed Middleweight Champion and he doesn't need the belts to prove it. Does Kostya Tszyu need all the belts to proclaim his reign at 140? Nope! Neither does B-Hop.

Hopkins will fight for money after Eastman, period. He will fight Tito or Winky (the winner) or will move up to 175 and fight Johnson, whichever brings the most $$ to his bank account. He is only going to fight once or twice after the Eastman fight and he is going to retire before the end of the year. He has said so in countless interviews because it's a promise he made to his mother before she passed (not to fight past 40 years old). He turns 41 next January so all his fighting has to be done by then.

Also, he said after the DLH fight that he doesn't care for the WBO belt because he doesn't want to pay the sanctioning fees for another organization. I wouldn't be surprised if he pulls a Winky and just lets the belts go to the "regular" champions so he can fight who he wants to fight and not have to worry about sanctioning fees since the money will be there regardless.

Yes, I think he would allow the WBO to take their title back instead of fighting Sturm. Actually, I don't think it will matter. The organizations will give him an exemption (allow him to fight one fighter before his mandatory) to fight Tito/Winky because the sanctioning fees for that fight would be 10x what they would for Sturm/Hopkins. After that fight, however, expect to hear Hopkins anounce his retirement. He won't even have to get rid of any titles and still not fight Sturm.
