so based on what im reading ward list of opponents were as follows: tony bellew (ward demanded too much money), frank buglioni (frank turned it down) and callum johnson (HBO and roc nation weren't interested).

I am pretty sure that Roc nation lost $ Millions in those two PPV cards featuring Andre Ward vs Sergei Kovalev. The bottom line is that Andre Ward was never a huge draw.
Bellew made the smart business move by earning more money in fighting David Haye at the live gate in Wembley before 50,000 or more people than he ever could against Andre Ward on American PPV television.
