Why are you putting an exclamation point on the title... I heard the phone call, Virgil Hunter didn't even raise his voice

Or am I just, you know, talking crazzzyyyy here with my basic common sense? Then again, I don't think Virgil cares about making sense at this point, I think he just cares about making headlines. Best to ignore this, just like with his boxer, until actual best-vs-best fights, and entertainment for the fans, becomes more of a priority for them, rather than defending money grabs while turning down every single opponent in their own careers that doesn't represent a money grab where they get paid way more money than their boring, dirty boxing style brings in.
I hear what you are saying, but the point he is making is that not all of Rocky's opponents were so great either.

Should we begin comparing who they fought at the 30 fight mark? He mentions that Marciano fought 3 guys in a row with losing records. Mayweather hasn't fought anyone with a losing record since like his 9th fight.

Again, I see what you're saying, but it should definitely count for the record.

Sorry Virgil I better train another champ then Ward to validate my career. All of Marcianos opponents were pros unless proven otherwise. And the pros back then even mediocre ones were tough hard men

I agree with hunter. Marciano definitely would've fought worse calibre of opponents during the early part of his career

I dont think he should get 50 - 0 for adding the mcgregor circus any boxer would of beaten mcgregor. Yes i am a Mayweather fan but it was a circus and never serious.

Now, why would you introduce logic and clear thinking into the discussion? That is simply unfair to folks who like Virgil Hunter and many posters on this site who make no sense or just like rant and rave.

That's not the point, many would've easily beaten conor. The point is just that it was a show between 2 top tier fighters in 2 different combat sports. It made A LOT of money, and conor was licensed under the NSAC. You can cut it anyway you like, but it's a 50th win. Not much there to be complained about unless one just hates Floyd.

Sometimes too much is made of unbeaten records. Calzaghe was 49-0, Chavez had well over 70 fights before being defeated. Does anyone really believe Calzaghe would beat a prime Roy Jones jr? Who really thinks Mayweather could beat Thomas Hearns or 'Sugar' Ray Leonard? Nobody really.
