Could Floyd had beaten Sergio if he went up to MW during Sergio's Peak? I actually think it would have been extremely competitive but Floyd loses a SD type fight.

Floyd weighs 150 pounds.
Sergio weighed about 170 pounds.
At 160, Martinez stops him.
At 154, where Sergio might be a bit dehydrated (but not really he fought there before) Floyd would maybeeee take a decision. At 147, where i presume Martinez would have to DESTROY himself making weight, Floyd by UD.Comment

How could you say at 160 sergio would stop thr best defensive fighter of all time lol..Floyd weighs 150 pounds.
Sergio weighed about 170 pounds.
At 160, Martinez stops him.
At 154, where Sergio might be a bit dehydrated (but not really he fought there before) Floyd would maybeeee take a decision. At 147, where i presume Martinez would have to DESTROY himself making weight, Floyd by UD.
A points win for sergio is plausable but to say hed ko the faster floyd is dumb, sergio would struggle to land his straight outside punches on floyd as hed see them coming A mile away and his inside game isnt the best,
I mean what evidence is there that Martinez would break through and land several powerful shots to stop floyd?? The fighter with the upright pavlik or chin in the air paul williams??
Sometimes the smaller guy has the advantage especially if there hard to hit, just look How slippery brook was against golovkin and Martinez never fought in a way that would use a weight advantage on opposition
Also look at the khan canelo fight all this weight crap doesnt mean to much at the powerful weights except the smaller fighter loses powerful punch but thats never caused floyd too many problemsLast edited by Stuntman Mike; 09-30-2017, 02:35 PM.Comment
