Why does Wilder get blamed for his opponents failing their drug tests?

Only faceless Internet Trolls honestly! Nobody with a Full Functional Brain should be blaming Wilder for Povetkin and Ortiz failing Test.
That being said, let VADA and the WBC do their job before rushing to pick a replacement fighter. He should have alternatives already in the gym on standby since it has happened to him 2 Times Previously. If Ortiz can clear things up with the WBC and VADA then Fight On and monitor his samples closely!Last edited by sicko; 09-30-2017, 01:27 PM.Comment

Fans only become toxic because the sport turned into a plssing competition between the promotors, who aligned with fighters to **** over the sport for profit and diluted the boxing in general.
All things considered, boxing is a moribund sport with archaic values that doesn't sit comfortably with this generation of fast kicks and social status.
There is a lot of talk around the growing popularity of UFC/MMA over boxing, but IMO that is due to them suiting today's lifestyles more than boxing does. Any curious boxing casuals have had to swallow some serious crap over the last couple of years with bad decisions, atrocious matches and made up belts etc. UFC/MMA don't appear to have these issues as most fights end pretty conclusively
I'm sure they are exploring ways to "merge" boxing with other contact sports after May/Mac was a financial success, but then they could not align the respective fans who were already divided, so in terms of bringing boxing to a new generation, it failed. (maybe it should have been 3 high profile matches of boxers v UFC fighters as there are easily enough weight classes?)
Boxing really needs to change its politics though, which I think is the biggest restriction to the fans seeing the sport grow. Too many people in "control".

i could have seen this thread coming from a mile away. predictable. nobody with common sense is blaming deontay wilder for his opponents failing drug tests. think about it for more than one second, how could it actually be his fault other than sabotaging the drug tests? i guess he would have to like sneak into the lab and mess with them, which most likely did not happen. so no, its not his fault larryComment

Some of these posters are pathetic with their conspiracy theories that don't even make any sense. Also to add to these idiots are the boxing media who don't practice sound journalistic practices so rumor can be reported as fact. Far as I know it hasn't been reported by real media sites yet that the fight has been canceled yet, though it seems likely since this was a blatant failing of a closely watched drug test.Comment

Idk if it's all on the fans and this year has been a pretty impressive year, maybe the most impressive for the year as a whole vs any other year since I've been watching boxing, but you definitely got a under brought up point. Boxing fans seem to have a high percentage of sh^theads or just guys who enjoy the sport off of negative opinions.Comment

In that Case Wilder have every right to move and find another opponent while Ortiz deal with WBC and VADA.
I've been a critic of Wilder, not because I hate him and don't want to see American Fighters Do Well like some of the Dumb ***s on this forum. It's American Boxing, our Standards are much higher and it should be because of all the greats we have seen in the sport of boxing especially at Heavyweight so I refuse to declare Wilder anything until he proves it in a Major Bout!
But no Povetkin and Ortiz failing test is not some ***ing Conspiracy against Foreign Fighters to Protect Wilder like some are reaching for right now
