Canelo would probably win but not by ko to the body, on points, only clearcut and not controversially.

BHop sounds exactly like when a racist person refers to another group of people as "you people" in a specifically prejudiced way. You can tell BHop has a prejudice against offensive-style boxers, at minimum, if not other prejudices as well. For example, when he says, "These guys live by the punch and die by the punch."
I mean, is he saying defensive boxers like himself don't also live and die by punches in the ring? Heck, I saw BHop almost literally die by a punch when Joe Smith knocked him out of the ring and onto the hard floor five feet below. He is lucky he didn't fall directly on his head or neck, thank God.
I'm just saying, what is his point? Only "these guys" don't like body shots? Because I'm pretty sure Canelo doesn't like it to the body either, and I'm pretty sure even BHop didn't like it to the body. The overrated retired one almost got knocked down by a Kovalev body shot in the 12th round, and he's known for boxing the same dirty style as BHop, so....
In fact, GGG took more Canelo body shots, and walked through more Canelo body shots, than probably anyone else in the sport around their weight class would be able to. Not that you couldn't have predicted it based on his build and the way he has walked through hard body shots before, but GGG actually proved, once again, that he takes body shots very well.
But that's what prejudice does. That's what always happens when you stereotype. BHop has lumped "these guys," aka every offensive boxer on the planet, all together, and so he just assumes if Sergey Kovalev doesn't take body shots well, then that proves Golovkin doesn't either, or whatever. But every boxer is different, and you can see GGG has a much stockier build, with much thicker abs and obliques, than Kovalev. So, anyone can get stopped to the body, but I think BHop is making a false assumption here thinking GGG is soft to the body. GGG has taken the biggest body punches in the division from Jacobs, Canelo, Lemieux, and Stevens, often vs guys outweighing him by 5 to 15 pounds in the ring, and he's kept walking forward. He is not soft to the body.
Now, if GGG isn't so far past his prime at this point that he simply no longer has a body attack or much of a power punch attack at all anymore, then if he goes to the body in the rematch, it will be much more interesting to see how Canelo handles his body attack. I think if anyone would wilt against the other's body attack, it would be Canelo wilting against GGG's.
Of course, I don't think we will ever see that. As BHop admits here by mentioning GGG's age again, he, Oscar, and Canelo waited until GGG got old for a reason. They waited until the elite power puncher declined into nothing but a jabber... and then still got outboxed by him. Pathetic. But I'm just saying, if GGG was still capable of mounting a body attack, I think Canelo is the one who would have problems trading body shots with GGG, not GGG.Comment

the fat red kid lit that boy up like a christmas tree
Golovkin needs to work on.....
* establishing a dominant jab
* cutting off the ring
* working the body
all things that Golovkin fans said would be dominant
those things have been his plan A, B, and C, every single fight..... but they were not quite good enough to beat Canelo..... who will be far better off with that fight under his belt and far more confident
the smarter fighter will make the better adjustments, and the smarter fighter is CaneloComment

Why did Canelo not go to the body, since it's one of he's main strengths as a fighter? It's because he couldn't. Why did a 25 year old struggle so badly with a 35 year old? Because one is overhyped while the other is over criticised and underestimated. They still think it's being done with smoke and mirrors.Comment

That's a set up to get Nelo hit. Nice try. He should box like he was but get a little lighter on his feet early then work lil g in the later rounds which would make it easier for him. Nelo wins the rematch by UD.Comment
