Jean Pascal became mandatory to Stevenson. But Jean Pascal publicly says he wants 60%, Stevenson says calm down, it's 30. Pascal says 50%, Stevenson says I won't compromise, it's 30. Pascal blast off Stevenson in the media calling him Aduckn*s Ch*ckens0n, Superw0m*n, pvss*, tomato cans & taxi driver fighter & many more terms; 90% of Kovalev & followers trash words against Stevenson, started by Jean Pascal mouth; Kovalev only repeats what Pascal was barking, to his own limited trashing vocabulary.
Anyhow, Jean Pascal says 40% and Stevenson says lets wait for the WBC purse bid, knowing the WBC split policies are at 70-30.
So Jean Pascal left his mandatory position by his own and fought Kovalev for 40%. While Stevenson was already making money, it was Kovalev FIRST major paycheck in boxing. He did crumbs with Hopkins.
Kovalev cracked Pascal, pretending to still call out Stevenson with the WBC Diamond belt. Stevenson beat Bika and was ready for the Kovalev Stevenson negociation under the WBC rules of 50% split. But Kathy Duva stayed silent, even if Kovalev was no longer tied to his HBO contract.
So Yvon Michel and the WBC decided to setup a purse bid after 30 days of failed negociation. Kathy Duva claim they wouldn't participate on that purse bid because without HBO's back-up contract they will lose the bid, "like it wouldn't be fair". Okay then! so Yvon Michel and the WBC waited for Kovalev to sign another contract with HBO on May 2015, to setup a second purse bid. And Kathy Duva claims again she wouldn't participate in that second purse bid because it would cause a breach of contract if they would lose that bid, they would be in violation with the HBO exclusive contract terms. "They were just bluffing all along, Duva thought Stevenson would have vacate his title".Comment

Don't know what Haymon did to these people.
Stevenson jumped ship at a time when Haymon fighters were at the height of their careers getting huge paychecks fighting nobodies; Gift Garcia getting huge money for the Salka fight, Leo Santa Cruz fighting sparring partners, etc.
Adonis simply got the idea.
Now that PBC is broke, they're still acting as if it's still fiesta.Comment

You claim that he is a bitch and ducked his mandatory but you like him?Because Stevenson is a little bytch who has been ducking his mando for 3 years while he fought slobs. I don't usually bash the guy (I kinda like him) but your ignorant trolling makes it obvious how much of a coward Steveson is.
That might even be the first time I came out and said it so you should know that, instead of helping the guy, you're exposing how much of a chicken he is.
Care to explain why? Just curious.Comment

I like to watch him fight. I don't even think it's his fault the Kovalev fight didn't happen (I blame Duva). But, his avoidance of Alvarez is so blatant at this point that there's no denying it.
I don't defend a guy just because I like him as a fighter. Kovalev is the biggest example of that. Major douche but a hell of a fighter. Floyd another. I don't do the fanboy thing where people feel they have to like a fighter as a person, just because they like his fights.Comment

About Pascal, we all know Pascal was overstated, one victory over Dawson by headbutt, beaten by 48 years old Hopkins, TKO'ed by Kovalev twice, finish by Alvarez.
Hey! Stop fighting the truth, you're trolling...
What about Virgil Hunter lies:
"There was no money in an adonis stevenson fight, so ward retired". What about that...Comment

Humm!, hard to go against facts right, but you still act like you didn't get your answer.I like to watch him fight. I don't even think it's his fault the Kovalev fight didn't happen (I blame Duva). But, his avoidance of Alvarez is so blatant at this point that there's no denying it.

But lets not forget about our dear Chad, he was the lineal LHW champ after beating Hopkins. But he was eager to prove his ability to compete and still dominate another champion of the same age. Therefore, after defeading B-Hop "April 28 2012", he challenged newly crowned #2 Pound-for-pound SMW Andre Ward, by saying he could get down to 168 or make it at 175Lbs if necessary.
The very next day, Ward answered positively to the challenge, with the condition of respecting what was said about meeting him at 168.
Then, while training for the fight, Dawson was confronted with troubles to make the weight, regular training was not enough, to cut that natural mass Dawson had to overtrained. Action which has the negative effect of eating the muscle mass, losing strenght while exhausting the metabolisism. Thus in August 2012 Dawson asked Ward to do a simple catchweight at 170lbs, which team Ward Obviously turned down.
Thus, the night before the September 7 2012 weigh-in, trainer John Scully said that Dawson was at 175Lbs, he needed to run 55 minutes on a treadmill, and also had sit in a sauna for 20 minutes to hit 168. Which mean Dawson cuts down his fat and drained his body water to make the "LHW limit", not to mention he exposed his body to danger by cutting 7Lbs of more water: (7Lbs = 3.18Kg; 3.18Kg = "3.18L of more water") Overnight.
See, it's normal Dawson had the impression Ward was much faster than him, loss of alertness and cognitive impairment are the first symptoms of severe dehydration. The fact is, even if Dawson gained back his body weight by eating nutritional food and drinking electrolytes, the brain remains the last organ in the body to resume its original size and weight by rehydration. Therefore, a brain that hasn't reached its initial size is not firmly attached to the walls of the cranial cavity. Means, this brain is much more vulnerable to be subject to concussions: especially when we talk about boxing. Look, it wasn't by coincidence Ward's left hand appeared so heavy and effective.
Dawson doesn't forget his defeats, he always reports his revenge for later. Therefore, to wave off this last defeat, he was hoping to avenge his loss against Jean Pascal, but Pascal just had a lucrative offer to fight Bute. So promoter Yvon Michel asked Gary Shaw if his "SMW" Adonis Stevenson could fought Dawson as replacement, with a guarantee purse of 1.2 millions in Dawson pockets; Shaw & Dawson agreed. And Michel asked Stevenson to make the choice between fighting for the vacant IBF title or to review the possibility to jump in weight to fight Chad Dawson for the LHW WBC belt with a small purse. Stevenson decided to go up, and blow Darnell Boone right before his shot at Dawson. In the meantime, the WBC stripped Ward from his 168lbs belt because of his right shoulder issues, so Bika (4) fought Sjekloca (2) for the vacant WBC strap.
Meanwhile, after Stevenson beaten "a better Shaped" Dawson "June 2013", he said he wanted to fight Hopkins and Ward, while Ward was a commentator of the fight.
Ward says: (It's a no brainer "76sec" Stevenson didn't have enough names on his resume to fight him.) Still in HBO, Stevenson promoter offered Ward a deal to make 2 fights; 1st at 168lbs in Oakland, and the 2nd at 175lbs in Montreal. But Ward-Hunter sounds-off.
Eventually, Dawson was never able to make his revenge against Pascal while he was still champion. Nonetheless, on June 21 2014 after 1 year of total depression, he KOed George Blades in 1 round. On March 7 2014, Dawson signed with Haymon. By requesting to be positioned as the main optional opponent to Adonis Stevenson. Al Haymon listen to his boxers, and does what's best for them; so he accepted Chad Dawson request mainly because Dawson is always good for TV. But on October 4 2014, he unexpectadly lost to Tommy Karpency, it was suppose to be Chad Dawson revenge bout against Stevenson; but he let Karpency took his spot.
Chad Dawson passed another full year in total depression, he jump-started his motivation by pushing himself in a marathon, before finding himself back in a ring defeating Dion Savage & Cornelius White. With those victories, Haymon gave Dawson a 2nd chance to reach Stevenson by fighting for the WBC mandatory spot. Which was perfectly timed, because Eleider Alvarez coaches needed a better preparation for Alvarez, by giving him more rounds against southpaws. On July 29 2016 Dawson was supposed to fight WBC mandatory Alvarez, but he gave up 10 days before the fight. He probably thought Alvarez would've been too risky for him.
But after Alvarez bad performance against replacement southpaw Robert Berridge, Chad asked again to be position as the main optional opponent to Adonis Stevenson. Al Haymon couldn't come up with an immediate solution. Meanwhile, following the failure of negotiations between Stevenson promotional team & Smith clan, Haymon have found a possible arrangement to consolidate a Dawson vs Fonfara, which had suffered an unexpected defeat against Joe Smith jr.
In his own training process, Dawson found himself as Eleider Alvarez sparring partner. While Alvarez was preparing himself for his fight against Lucien Bute, Dawson used his own assistance in the ring to get ready to defeat Fonfara. Seeing his own superior technical capacities to his rival while competting easely in the ring against Alvarez, his self-confidence was back to what it was before, prior to his lost against Stevenson.
On March 4 2017, Dawson put his training in work, with a marvelous and sharp performance against Fonfara; just to miserably gas out around the 2/3 of the fight. Forgetting that Fonfara is vulnerable when he's hurry and too confident, but fateful when patient. Since Fonfara knows how to exhaust and drain his opponents stamina, before striking. Fonfara found himself back in the top 10 rankings, while former champion Dawson stayed out. For the 3rd time, Dawson let another boxer took his spot.
In his ideal world, Dawson was suppose to avenge his loss to Stevenson, and climbed up to dismantle the Impostor: "Andre Ward", who pushed him to fight in physical disadvantage. But there's no IF in our reality, Dawson is a messy-mix of self-overestimation, opponent underestimation and wrong decisions.
There's a lot more going on around Adonis Stevenson than we think, and lets agree to disagree with the fake belief about Stevenson not wishing to face his mandatory. About Alvarez-Stevenson, we shouldn't forget that PBC channels were not trilled by the idea of broadcasting a fight between these two. Anyhow, for Ward, Stevenson & Roc Nation, it's time for Undisputed. Why wasting time if Stevenson represents Ward biggest payday. See, we can smell the Duck when Ward and Hunter attempts to undermine the importance of becoming Undisputed by fighting Stevenson. But Roc Nation doesn't care, they wants it: they've made sure with their contract, Ward couldn't even try to break their feet, as he did with Dan Goossen before he died. King Kal-El Stevenson will be the next Undisputed Champion in the LHW division, no matter what ish Ward-Hunter says.Last edited by TheThirdEye; 09-29-2017, 06:57 PM.Comment

No gives a f#ck about Stevenson except his fanboys. That says everything about Stevenson's status in the game today.
No, they all ducked Stevenson, Hopkins got KO'ed out of the ring by a regular white NY city blue collar worker, Jean Pascal ended his career by losing against no threat Alvarez, Kovalev lost his belts, trainer & soul to Ward; and Ward ended his career not being remembered in Boxing history. I believe they're the one facing Karmic justice for ducking Stevenson. Stevenson is still in the game, he is the oldest boxing Champion, he's the number 1 at LHW, and will crack all those upcoming russians.
He doesn't even got THAT many haters anymore he's become so irrelevant to the average boxing fan.
Tell Adonis I said good luck cashing out doe since you gotta have access to the guy as no one without access is as much of a fart sniffer of a guy than you seem to be so if you're just a fanboy I'd be surprised.
And like I said he should aim at Kov cuz that's the most winnable, higher level, name brand, good money type fight out there for him.Comment

Don't really know what made Adonis a huge diva.
Pascal vs Stevenson would have been a huge fight in Montreal
prior to Pascal's 2 Kovalev fights.
But for some inexplicable reason, Adonis don't want it.
Canadians were disappointed.
How can any Canadian have any sympathy for this duckling?Comment
