Makes it look like he was trying to cover up something even more. I think Wilder said something to that effect too that when they test you they bring a form you are supposed to fill out with everything you are taking

Look at SaintPat trying to use logic vs the NSB dummies. Good luck with that brother, but yeah this.

And again I ask how does a guy on blood pressure medicine even get a boxing license in the first place? I'd argue there are certain medical situations that should kill your boxing license. Maybe high blood pressure should be one of them.

Also if anyone can bump one of those "who'll get popped next" threads where like a third of the people were saying Ortiz I'd appreciate revisiting that thread, but I can't seem to find any of them.

How do you forget to report the prescription blood pressure meds you're taking?

Mayweather and many other US athletes have been cheating for years. We know that but what I wana know is, do the rules allow for retrospective exemptions? I seem to remember they might in some cases but I might be wrong. You are right that Ortiz doesnt have the type of pull needed to pull this off.

Tbh, it is his fault. Every athlete gets told these days what the rules and regulations are.

Why didn't he just disclose this information from the get go and get a the****utic use exemption for it? I wonder why was he attempting to conceal this substantial piece of information unless he was attempting to cheat?

Who does he think he's fooling? He was using those diuretics in order to cycle off his PEDs to clean out his system. He was masking them so they couldn't detect them. I don't believe for one second that he is sick with Type II diabetes or kidney disease.

I guess I'm more sympathetic now. I'm not gonna tell a guy in his 50's that he can't take his blood pressure meds.

There are lots of reasons for high blood pressure especially for athletes. I discovered this year that pain will cause high blood pressure...I had no idea but Dr's and nurses confirmed this for me. I had a benign (thank God) tumor deep in my lat muscle for many years. It was never diagnosed as a tumor until just before I had it removed. I had high blood pressure all that time and never knew why. Guess what happened immediately after I had it removed...the pain went away and my blood pressure returned to normal. It's not unusual for a boxer to live with chronic pain that would elevate blood pressure. I had been on HTCZ and other BP meds off and on during that time. I always got off of them because of the fatigue factor they caused me...it ******. I can tell you that BP meds are not something that an athlete wants to take...they definitely are NOT performance enhancing as some people on here have speculated.
