  • I don't think Ortiz should be fighting if he takes Losartan tbh.

You are usually prescribed that as a preventative measure stop yourself having a heart attack or a stroke, ffs.

    • Wilder is like the poor sweet girl who keeps picking partners that end up cheating on him just before they're about to get married.

      • Or could this be a sophisticated method of maintaining Wilders integrity by deliberately choosing known PED users?
It gives him an alibi and an excuse. A very complex way of ducking. Sounds ludicrous? But Wilder claims he knows who all the cheats are? So why can't he (or his team) pick a clean fighter?

I'm just throwing it out there as food for thought.

        • Poor Wilder

You gotta feel sorry for Wilder, how can he find an opponent who's not doped??? But the blame lies squarely with boxing authorities who've been pathetic in the fight against drugs in sport. Those who fail tests should be given 2-year bans and have their relevant results stripped. And they should be kicked out of the rankings and forced to warn their way back in.

That's not what's going on. What's going on is that the WBC has the most stringent testing. It's their heavyweight championship. There are more tests being conducted than the other divisions. It's the most valuable belt in all of fighting. The WBC world heavyweight championship.

And since Jose died, Mauricio has been hellbent on setting the standard for random drug tests and making sure the WBC catches more cheaters than the other orgs.

              • Angiotensin II & Losartan are NOT on the VADA list of banned substances...HCLZ/Hydrochlorothiazide is. It's just the portion of the drug that contains the diuretic HCLZ that is the issue because it has been used by boxers to make weight by pissing water. HW's don't have to make weight...so it's not even a legit issue.

This needs to go away. HCLZ is NOT an advantage/enhancement for a heavyweight.

                • Can't see Wilder agreeing to fight Ortiz if he's failed a test, regardless of circumstances. Meh.

LOLOLOLOL i knew wilders ballsack huggers would say this. Because this is why wilder has been so verbal and so confident. The sack of ***** knew this was going to happen. His team was obviously tipped off. Wilder is without a doubt the biggest coward to have ever held a paper hw world title.
