If Canelo has the better technique, is more talented, and is the overall better fighter... Why couldn't he beat a 35 years old Golovkin soundly? You guys say Golovkin can't box and his power is overrated... How come 90% of all boxing fans, media, fighters, trainers saw him win the fight? You guys don't know nothing what you're talking about. Go to the gym, start to throw some punches, open your eyes, learn (!!!), watch fights without a wet panty and full of hate, and then start to re-think your position.
Why is canelo's technique so much better than a guy who had over 300 amateur fights

****** comment larry, the only thing ropes do for any fighter is cut down their exit strategies, let's see it for what it was, stamina issues, the ropes are canelos happy place to rest and try and refill the tankComment

casuals...
So a fighter goes to the ropes to extert more energy in slipping and rolling with shots than to move around the ring, jab, reset?
did you know that in boxing when a boxer ''goes'' to the ropes is either one of these things:
He was punched there and taking damage with their guard up..
Has their guard up while taking damage to bait...
Or some boxers use the rope to slip shots since the ropes easily holds them from falling backwards, less effort!!!Have you ever seen Floyd fight? the ropes are a safe haven for slipping and rolling as you dont have to worry of falling. Also the ropes absorb the shock
aside from any of that, why was GGG missing at the ropes?Last edited by Lester Tutor; 09-29-2017, 06:49 AM.Comment

Most “fighters” have had the opportunity to fight against the supposed P4P #2, coming from a lower weight, or rather specifically, starting from Welterweight to fight a “seasoned” 160 guy that never dared to be great
But you can call it “stamina.”Comment

Gggs technique is better. That's why he stops all his victims and was favourite against and beat nelo unofficiallyComment

canelo had little amateur experience, but he had a lot of time to learn as a pro in mexico. he turned pro when he was 15, and IIRC the debut is on the internet and i've seen it. kid clearly was well schooled.
nobody is saying that he's not a very technical offensive fighter. i think it's obvious who has the more pure "technique" and who is more defensively responsible.
that said, why did he get outjabbed?
why was he on the ropes for huge stretches of the fight?Comment

i was rooting for ggg against canelo but anyone who thinks ggg has better skills than canelo is a fool!! i said it from the start that canelo is the more skill fighter but ggg has more power behind his punches.Comment
