dont lie to yourself. 09-10 floyd had no plans to retire, so if they fought in 09-10, im sure there would have been a rematch after regardless of who the winner is.
pac's ppv took a dive after losing to floyd because who has manny fought after that? bradley? vargas? horn?? these arent guys that will help your ppv buys. if manny fights canelo or conor next, are you telling me the ppv will flop because pac lost to floyd already?
Take a look at Pac's numbers after he got his head flown by Marquez.
After Floyd blowing him away in 2009, the numbers would have been worse and that was the height of Pac's money making heyday.
The loss would have been devastating and Arum knew it.

The situations are not equal.
Bob and his matchmakers knew (or were fairly certain of) the outcome of the fight Floyd/Manny fight.

09-10 both these guys had no plans to retire and is still pretty much in their prime. if they fought in 09-10 regardless of who the winner is, im 100% sure there would have been a rematch.

Floyd is superior to Manny and that is why Bob/Manny waited to fight him.
