It should of done around 2 mil the way Oscar "marinated" it, the Floyd Connor circus took some buys out of it.

          1.3m X $80 = $104m

          divided by 2(Cable/satellite cut) =$52m

          + 27m gate = $79m

          + Sponsors/international tv money lets say - 5m = $84m

          minus GBP/HBO/K2 - lets say $20m - $64m -

          60/40 split

          - 38.4m Canelo - 25.6m GGG

          Sounds about right.

That's a really good figure, considering that neither guy is American, and 1 is not a major draw. The rematch will sell well too

That's pretty good since neither can speak English well!

The rematch will sell like hotcakes!

I think 1.8 million buys is it!

All you ggg fans should thank Oscar for marinating the fight so your hero can be set for life!

You don't see ggg complaining anymore now that he seen his check LOL!

Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin didn’t return anyplace close to the “close to three million” domestic pay-per-view buys promoter honor First State La vine foretold, however their middleweight title fight simply surpassed one million buys.

The la Times reported Wed that Alvarez-Golovkin generated one.3 million buys within the u. s.. Mexico’s Alvarez (49-1-2, thirty four KOs) and Kazakhstan’s Golovkin (37-0-1, thirty three KOs) fought to a moot 12-round draw September sixteen at T-Mobile Arena in urban center.

It does make 1 wonder If we will ever see a fighter that can do PPV numbers like Floyd did ever again. Truly a once in a lifetime fighter that can generate those type of buys 1.3 mil is great for Canelo GGG probably should have been more but 2.2mil 4.6mil and 4.4mil buys Floyd put up those are just historic staggering numbers and its looking like no one will ever even come close to it again...

                    • Great numbers. Fighters deserce to be rewarded for taking on challenges they are supposed to when they have easier options in front of them.

With the exception of the score cards, it didn't dissappoint.
