Comments Thread For: Joshua vs. Wilder-Ortiz Winner - Guaranteed in 2018, Says Hearn

If both fighters continue to win, a blockbuster unification showdown is guaranteed between WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (38-0, 37 KOs) and IBF, IBO, WBA Anthony Joshua (19-0, 19 KOs), according to Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport. Before that collision can happen, both boxers would have to be successful in their upcoming assignments.

Shouldn't it say Joshua-Pulev winner vs Wilder-Ortiz winner?

He means it's "guaranteed" if Wilder wins.

After King Kong beats Wilder, Joshua will find some more excuses to duck him.

That's more like it!! But Wilder has to fight Stiverne next doe? He only getting step aside once to fight Ortiz. I’m guessing AJ will fight Parker after Pulev and Wilder will fight Stiverne or Breazeal then they the massive unification takes place in the US!

But you still have Wilder nut huggers saying Hearn is protecting AJ from Wilder lol.

              Wilder gets folded like origami!

Not really. Hearn wouldn't have anything to do with that, it would be down to pulevs promoter what happens next. He did say "if both fighters get through their next assignment" so he wasn't overlooking pulev entirely.

I thought you Joshua fanboys said Stiverne is trash ; don't tell me now that you think hes good enough to beat Dominic Breazeale on Wilders undercard?

Wilder -Joshua would be huge right now because they are both undefeated. If for example Joshua lost against Pulev or Wilder against Ortiz, that would make their fight much less important.
