Does anyone still think GGG should have taken the flat fee?

If the number of 1.3MM is accurate than it shows me two things IMO.

Golovkin has a decent size fan base, and for a guy with no demographic advantage who came to the states at 30 he's done incredibly well, but all that said it just isn't that big. It isn't Cotto level. Not sure where I'd put it in a historical perspective. But that really isn't surprising.

What I do think though is this might show that Canelo's popularity has leveled off in the States. His fight drew 1K more than the Chavez fight. In the biggest and most dangerous fight of his career he did the same against Chavez who really hasn't accomplished much in his career.

We'll see if the 1.3MM holds up but if it does I feel like Canelo might have already hit his peak popularity in the US.

It's really simple. If you're still defending or arguing GGG should have taken the flat fee you're either an idiot or a bad troll.

      Pick one.
