Stop making excuses for them. They couldn't even get Barrera who is signed to them to fight Kovalev. Kovalev is firing his trainer while it really should be his management and promoter. There were 2 purse bids that they didn't show up to.

HBO was gonna pay less than 2 million for the fight. Why would anyone split to 2 million for a big fight like that? Duva can't afford to pay her fighters so she was ok with that but Stevenson knew the fight was worth more than that and Showtime was willing to pay Stevenson more money. HBO refused to match the offer. Kovalev has fought Pascal, Hopkins and Ward but has ended up taking peanuts for those fights from Duva and HBO. They could have lost the purse bid but they would have ended up making more money from Showtime and taking the belt from Stevenson.

As I said incoming money excuse lol. Fan #2 here did everyone else give up on making excuses for this clown yet?? Get over it Stevenson aint worth a penny here in the states. He didnt improve Showtime's numbers and he barely fights. Kovalev saved HBO money by running that clown off the network lol.
