Comments Thread For: Wilder: Right Now I Think Luis Ortiz Will Get Drilled in Three!

WBC heavyweight world champion Deontay "The Bronze Bomber'' Wilder (38-0, 37 KOs) will look to do serious damage when he make his sixth title defense against hard-hitting Cuban southpaw Luis "The Real King Kong'' Ortiz. The fight will be televised on Showtime from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Zero chance. He won't even try to knock him out if he has any sense he'll use his jab /reach and move and win on points. Ortiz looked unable to cut the ring off anymore in Monaco.

If he tries to knock Ortiz out just one of those wild windmills and doesn't connect he'll get sparked. If their trading on the inside I'm with Ortiz.

Ortiz style plays right into Wilder's hands. For the exception of being a south paw. Ortiz is a slow plodder who can be easily hit. Who ever gets there first is going to win this fight. Deontay punches has a lot more, speed, timing and steam on them than King Kong's.

Moreover, given Wilder's physical ability, if he decides to fight off the back foot then Luis doesn't stand a chance of winning because Deontay will be too hard to find and catch flush and cleanly.

Wilder's personal coaches for this fight are Foreman, Holmes, and Lennox Lewis.

His right hand has healed and he knocked out 5 sparring partners wearing full protective gear.

His accuracy over the first 30 rounds of sparring is at 73%. This isn't going to end well for King Kong.

Gotta admire his confidence, even if he's knocked out nobody in the first 3 rounds since 2014...

                    Windmilling vs drilling

Ive never seen a windmill do any drilling. I have witnessed them blowing a lot of hot air though.
