Morons, Canelo took the Mexican dates back, the best times to sell a PPV. It's not like he's waiting 2-3 years for the rematch like other rematches have happened. Those are the dates he fights on, those are the dates JCC, De la Hoya and Mayweather fought on, the last PPV kings, he's taking them now.

But then again, the concept of selling a successful PPV is lost on lil'g and her g-string gggroupies.

B itch your not Mexican so you don't understand the meaning of these two dates but I do. So I have no problem with Canelo waiting till May for the rematch cause like me, he's also Mexican and we know what those dates mean to us.

Don't be so easily manipulated. I never said those dates aren't important to Mexicans, but do you really think the promoters care about that? All they care about with regard to those dates is money. I'm not saying Mexicans should not have their important holidays... where did you get that idea lol? I'm saying the sport of boxing, and the careers of many boxers, should not be ruined just to conform to certain holidays. Otherwise, what about the holidays of every other nation or culture? You don't see promoters caring about those. Why? Because they don't care about any holidays, they just care about what day they can make the most money on. But what I explained is that over the long-term, there is more money in boxing, and it's better for the fans and the boxers, to just make the big fights as soon as possible, regardless of the dates, instead of putting entire divisions on hold for 8 months.

But don't get it twisted, I respect your Mexican traditions and holidays. I just don't want to see the sport, and boxers careers, put on hold 8 months out of every year just to conform to the Mexican holiday dates so promoters can make more money on those dates. They may make more money on those dates, but they are losing even more money the rest of the year waiting for those dates.

Also, don't you worry that they are just using the Mexican holidays? Basically selling out Mexican history, or at least corporatizing it, in order to make a quick buck? Do you really think it was respectful of Mexican history, for example, for Floyd Mayweather to schedule his fights on those dates and then come out wearing a sombrero and a Mexican flag? That just seems like manipulating people and using Mexican history to make money. I'd rather see the sport flourish, and Mexican history respected.

That fight was a razor close fight as they come where ward won by using the same style as canelo did in this fight,& was dropped unlike canelo who never came close,but ward haters which are mostly gggroupies cry robbery 2 this day. And kovalev is literally ggg snr while ggg is kov jr,they both fought the same type of fight(a defense 1st fight)& if you think ward won u should agree canelo won as they won for same reasons but canelo won by displaying insane defense & counter combos with ggg barely landing power shots cleanly. Both kov & ggg were outboxed but canelo outboxed ggg way worse but just got winded,then ggg stole rds because of it,

I have stated prior that ggg winning by 7-5 wouldn't be a robbery,I just think canelo won 7 rds clearly. most the people who say ggg won only seen the fight once & most picked ggg 2 win by ko which says everything about bias. I predicted canelo would outbox ggg with superior footwork & bodywork & he did which is why even inaccurate compubox had ggg landing only 8 (weak jab) body shots.

I was even ridiculed 4 saying canelo had far superior footwork,defense,& bodywork than ggg. The fight proved me right & ggg could only hit canelo when he got gassed.

I thought Kovalev won the first fight but it was close. Ward clearly won the second fight since he stopped Kovalev.

I agree that most GGG fans are also Kovalev fans. Just like everyone who had Canelo winning against GGG is also a Ward fan / Biased Mexican.

Is there anyone on this forum who scored 7 rounds for Canelo and doesnt have a post history of highly negative posts about GGG?

Both are definitely going to fight again. I don't see either of them fighting someone else for less money and greater risk unless those someone else are the Wade/Monroe/stevens of this world.

Unfortunately I think you are right. Canelo dictates this so if he wants until May then that is likely when it is. I wish, as a Golovkin fan, he'd at least fight Saunders to capture all the major belts. I mean if he can't beat Saunders than better there is no rematch.
