Comments Thread For: Hearn Clarifies The U.S. Network Status of Anthony Joshua

Matchroom Sports recently announced the signing of middleweight contender, Daniel Jacobs (32-2, 29 KOs), which also included a multi-fight deal with HBO Sports. As you look at the upcoming schedule on the network, it is dotted with fighters who are associated with the company headed by Eddie Hearn. Their biggest client - literally and figuratively - is IBF, WBA, IBO heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua, who's last four bouts have been televised by Showtime.

      "For now we're with Showtime."

Eddie's moving Joshua over to HBO the first chance he gets.

I noticed the "option on this fight, and the next fight after" statement...

Translation: they have the option on the Pulev fight, and the Parker fight (allegedly it's next at Wembley)

Meaning they could bolt for HBO after and try to avoid Wilder with him being on Showtime. I'm not saying that will happen, but his statement seems to open that door.

        Slick talk from Hearn here.

Just sit back and enjoy the ride man, there's nothing we can do about it unless you actually get involved in the business. Every sport is like this tho but only the hardcore fans can point it out

                  Slick talk from Hearn here.

They actually signed with Showtime last year, because it would be easier to male The Wilder fight.
But I guess they Need to marinate That or whatever The Word is for That.

I still think Hearn takes Joshua to HBO after Showtime had no more option on him.

I read Showtime outbid HBO for the Pulev fight and i think they should stay that way. After the Wlad victory in an exciting fight he can get great bids from both networks and choose. Don't settle IMO.

Plus i truly believe if both joshua and Wilder win their next bouts then their unification matchup will be huge in the summer if 2018. Vegas fight!
