I disagree. McGregor took the fight seriously and respected the sport by actually training to win and fighting to win. Unlike the way James Toney went into MMA like it was a big joke and embarrassed both sports. Floyd unquestionably deserves this win on his books for a final tally of 46-3 with 1 no contest and he should go down in history as one of the top 5 Jr. Welterweights/Super Lightweights in the history of the 140lb weight class.

It doesn't matter! It was a sanctioned boxing match but everyone know Mayweather will be criticized this fight as the one to break Marciano's record. On the flip side, if Mayweather lost the fight no one would say it didn't count. His record would 49-1 and people would still be celebrating today.
