Gayed up the ring, lost to Kovalev the first time , pretended to be the son of God, managed to make the rematch dubious as well by illegal blows to an out of shape Kovalev.
He was clever but never really beat Kovalev fair and square and was a massively boring ****.

Effective but boxing is about skilful punchers, Kovalev deserved that first fight by close decision, ok he wasn't as mentally tough as we thought and Ward psyched him out but only by gaying up the place to a frankly unseemly degree.
