  • Ward combining headbutt & lowblow in one.

Well since this week we have people posting all kinds of crazy threads, I've decided to make one myself. It might not be as crazy as it seems though.

We heard he headbutts, we heard he lowblows... But the ex P4P king is full of surprises. Witness greatness as Ward manages to combine his two most feared weapons into a single one:

How about this P4P technique from our dear ex LHW champ, may he be blessed in his retirement.

Yep. That's what Ward brings to the table.

Best fighter of all time, P4P? Maybe not?

Its amazing how ward has never gotten warned for ducking below opponents waist which is illegal in boxing. Favouritism by west coast refs explains why he hasnt

Little known fun fact - ducking below the waist is not actually included in the NSAC's rules, despite that it was one of the original Queensbury rules. I learned this during an argument with Larry that lead me to sifting through the NSAC rules. Check for yourself.

              https://www.leg.state.nv.us/NAC/NAC-467.html

You'll see under NAC 467.675 there are 18 acts that are considered fouls by the NSAC and ducking below the waist is not one of them.

It IS however one of the rules included in the WBC's rules for championship fights doe. But the wording of the WBC rules suggests that they more or less just defer to the commission for enforcing it's own rules and would probably only take actions of their own in fairly serious cases.

In this document's case, there are 29 fouls (section 15) and ducking below the waist is one of them. My guess is that it's not considered serious enough for the WBC to take action when the local commission does not have a problem with it.

A low blow combined with a head butt is a BLOW JOB.

Don't think I've ever seen a ref warn for it.
