2017 might be the final year of boxings 3 megastars

Manny is now 100% commuted to the senate

Mcgregor went back to the UFC

Floyd retired without facing a real challenge

It's a bad year for the fight game when the 3 biggest names are retired/semi retired from the sport.

Manny still puts on blood and guts shows against top contenders. He's still one of the most entertaining fighters in the world. Floyd is more entertaining in the build up but can put on a good show like he did against Cotto and maidana.

superstars are bad for boxing. When you have a superstar in a division, like Floyd was at 147, you can have 6 undefeated fighters in the top 10 of that weight class. And not until Floyd retired did some of those guys start to fight each other and we saw 2 big fights this year at 147 between 4 undefeated fighters. There should never be 5 or 6 undefeated fighters in the top 10 of one weight class. That's absurd. Because then you'd have all of the top fighters fighting the same tuneup fighters and beating them. Floyd retiring was the best thing that happened to 147. Now if we can just get Thurman in the ring with Spence, we're good, cuz he seriously doesn't want to fight anyone

Errr...McGregor is not a boxing superstar.
Floyd, Canelo, Pacquiao & Cotto are.

The **** out of here with this bull****. At least Floyd gave Canelo and Maidana the opportunity Oscar, Hernandez, and others gave him. Pac is going to go out fighting the likes of Chris Algieri and Jeff Horn instead of giving someone like Crawford, Spence, or Thurman a shot to become a PPV star. And Pac is around the same age Floyd was when he fought Canelo and Maidana. No excuses.

If you're going to ***** about anyone retiring without fighting a challenge, Pac should be the one you complain about, not Floyd.

He fought Canelo at 36, Marcos and 37. Point is he went out giving some young lions a chance. Unlike Pac whose last few fights have all been trash. Jeff Horn. He really fought cherry picked Jeff Horn (and still lost). How you gonna ***** out about Floyd retiring on weak competition while giving an active Pac a free pass for ducking a stacked welterweight division.

canelo? canelo was already an established name he was gonna be a top dog with or without floyd it was one of floyd's highest grossing fights because it was two of the biggest names brought together...

maidana was cherrypicked over khan & thurman, thurman was the young lion who really deserved a shot or i would have settled for Danny Swift you wanna talk giving some young lions who really proved themselves a shot..

...fought a faded pac after years of dancing around it, & what shot did a faded berto and macgregor actually have...
