Shortly after winning the title against Nathan Cleverly in August, the WBA ordered a purse bid for Jack to face Bivol. When Jack vacated the title the sanctioning body mysteriously bypassed Barrra and several other more deserving fighters.

Did you contact the WBA to find out why Bivol is facing an 11th ranked fighter for a vacated belt? If so, what was their reasoning?

If so... they're a small company and Bivol and Barrera knocking one another off isn't the best play for them.

I'd bet they expect Bivol to dispatch this bum, fight Kovalev for Kov to get the title, and then have Barrera as Kovalev's first defense. Way more money in their pocket.

If this is true, He could sue WBA for skipping him and He'll most likely win. Isn't Trout also suing a governing body for the same thing? I forget which body it was (maybe WBC) but they lost a case very similar to this and almost filed for bankruptcy because they were forced to pay millions. Sullivan could actually win by losing here.

It was the WBC who got sued by Graciano Rocchigiani for stripping him of their LHW title and giving it back to Roy Jones after Jones changed his mind about retiring.
