Rigo's accomplishments are overstated. He's 36 and has one good win (Donaire). That opponent was knocked silly by Walters a year later. Rigo rested on that win and wasn't willing to challenge himself until this cash out fight. Loma's eclipsed him with fighting ranked fighters and world champions and challenges like Walters and Russell (two fighters this board felt he'd lose easily to).

    No excuses December 9th.

With Rigo being the 126 champ at the age of 36, and Lomo being champ at 130 & 135 at ripe age of 29, why would they have met at catch-weight? Btw, wtf is Rigo's manager & promoter? What were they thinking $$$?

Ask Roman Martinez and Mariaga how they feel about lomas power.

I'm inclined to think Loma will be too big for Rigo, but I am ecstatic they got this fight made. Supreme skill on both sides.

Rigondeaux didn't rest. Boxers around his weight class ran away from him. frampton, quigg, mares, st+. Anyone with a name ran. Don't blame the Cuban because he was black listed by arum. Everyone was protecting their fighters against GR. We all know what happened. Rigondeaux beat up on the future cash cow and paid for it.

This right here. Everyone was ducking Rigo. That little guy is p4p is one of the hardest hitting today.

Once Rico lands anything clean they ALL run!! Loma will be no exception.

Lomachenko is the casual fan favorite. Bobs protected boy. Something else for you guys to think about is that Rigo is vada enrolled, roidachenko isn't.
