Many weight classes are stacked with talent, but middleweight certainly isn't one of them. The majority just plain sucks. The best fighters there are a slow living boxing bag named Golovkin, a ginger who lost to Mayweather, Lara and Trout, an out-of-shape gypsy and a former cancer patient in Daniel Jacobs... They are good boxers, sure, but certainly not in the same league as guys like Terrence Crawford, Andre Ward, Anthony Joshua, Lomachenko, Rigondeaux, etc. When Wilder beats Ortiz, even Wilder will have a better resume than Golovkin. Middleweight is a dead division with way too few good fighters. If Golovkin moved down, he would lose to Lara, and if he moved up, he would lose to several super middleweights. Middleweight is just weak enough to control, but Jacobs and Canelo have weakened his grasp...
Middleweight = very weak division

No way bruh.
Murata
N'Dam
Lemieux
Eubank Jr. (one humble fighter that can do 160 still and plays the part)
Jacobs
GGG
Alvarez
Charlo
BJS (unfortunately)
Lara (knows he should be 160)
Andrade (knows he should be 160)
Charlo is a real threat and a youngieComment

It's a very weak division and has been for several years.
In all honesty if guys like GGG and Canelo are really this good they should be fighting guys in and around their weight classes for example taking on some of the best guys at 154 and 168 too. To compensate for their division being so bad.
The great fighters of the past did it, so there's no reason for them to do it too. Especially considering they'd make a lot more money facing the other champs.Comment

Canelo has his course. Been doing his thing starting at 147, and as I made a thread before, "who willl reach 168 first?"It's a very weak division and has been for several years.

Nelo is just 27 and has earned his stripes to do as he pleases. He fought practically the best SWW in Lara so if you're saying fight the "best" (while Lara already ran up on Nelo before to make a fight) then it's Lara or Andrade that need to SEE Nelo at 160, not the other way around.
Keep in mind, there was one particular fighter that made waves in industry saying that "154-168" was easy per testimonial verbatim since 2013... guess who that is...Comment

I know you're trolling but It's the strongest division right now P4P. No division has the amount of talent as the guys below and 2 guys in the p4p list. 140 is by far the weakest division.
1. GGG
2. CANELO
3.CHARLO
4. JACOBS
5. DERYVANCHENKO
6. SAUNDERSComment

I agree Canelo has kinda done it and i'm not one of those people who complains about his resume which is actually really good considering he's 27 and could conceivably fight for another 8 years or more. All i'm saying is with the MW division being bad both guys should be looking at guys above and below them. Canelo has only just moved to 160 so i'm not asking him to fight 168lb guys. GGG however said he would fight anyone from 154 to 168 and just hasn't done it at all.Canelo has his course.
